The Last Generation is a 4-piece band that puts a modern spin on classic rock; they take inspiration from classic and hard rock from the 70s and early 80s with a bit of 90s grunge mixed in. The band started out in 2015 as a bunch of 15-year-olds from the suburbs opening for other bands with a bunch of cover songs, playing any place that would take them, from Joliet to Rockford. By 2017, they started to incorporate some of our own music into their sets, inspired by their favorite bands, particularly Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Motley Crue, Cheap Trick, and Nirvana.
The Last Generation’s original songs soon garnered the attention of more people, leading to bigger shows and an interview on WGN, where they announced their first album. Unfortunately, with a combination of COVID and band drama, progress on the album slowed to a crawl. But, after over a year of production, their first album was finally released on Halloween in 2021. Their focus in the past year has been promoting their album and continuing to write more music, which they plan on releasing throughout next year.
