The John Drury Awards

The John Drury High School Radio Awards were created to recognize excellence in high school radio broadcasting. The awards are named in honor of award-winning ABC-Chicago news anchor, John Drury, and are hosted by North Central College and WONC 89.1FM in Naperville, IL.

2021-2022 Information


The 2021-2022 submission period is now closed, and this year’s nominees can be found here. The reception and awards ceremony will take place on October 8 on the campus of North Central College in Naperville, IL.

Each entry will be critiqued by a board of judges made up of broadcast industry professionals empowered to evaluate all entries, categories and entrants. To be eligible, content must have been aired between June 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022. For social media and website categories, content must have been live between June 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022.
