The John Drury Awards

The John Drury High School Radio Awards were created to recognize excellence in high school radio broadcasting. The awards are named in honor of award-winning ABC-Chicago news anchor, John Drury, and are hosted by North Central College and WONC 89.1FM in Naperville, IL.

2022-2023 Information

The 2022-2023 submission period is now open through May 31, 2023. All submissions must have aired between June 1, 2022 and May 31, 2023.

Nominations will be announced on August 14, 2023, and the awards reception and ceremony will take place from 12pm to 2pm on Saturday, November 4, 2023, in Stevenson Hall in Wentz Science Center on the campus of North Central College in Naperville.

Each entry will be critiqued by a board of judges made up of broadcast industry professionals empowered to evaluate all entries, categories and entrants.
