Featured Local Artist: Space Age Zeros

Our Featured Local Artist for May is Space Age Zeros, a Chicago area power pop/pop punk hybrid that formed in the spring of 2022. Made up on five scene veterans who all have history together in sharing the stage with each other’s bands, the band’s initial mission was to blend the contemporary pop punk style with classic elements of Midwest power pop and punk.

Their debut EP, Blast Off!, was released in November of 2022, and Space Age Zeros soon began playing live shows at venues such as Liar’s Club, Reggie’s, and Beat Kitchen. They also supported national acts like UltraBomb and Pansy Division through invites from Kickstand and Riot Fest Productions, and they capped off 2023 with a high profile performance at T1 Fest in Chicago.

Also near the end of 2023, they began working on their first full-length album, which is a mix of power pop and pop punk material the band has crafted over the past two years. The album is due out in 2024, and the band will follow the release with continued high energy performances.
