Flores y Fuego

Tuesdays from 6 to 8pm

Flores y Fuego is your guide to thirty years of Spanish music that has influenced Latin culture, proving that great music needs no translation! Host Isa Arroyo honors the variety of Spanish-language music by incorporating tracks from many genres. Listen each week to the fiery passion of rock en Español to heart wrenching Latin pop ballads. From the soft melodies of acoustic favorites to the blazing rhythms of reggaeton, every song in our catalog symbolizes a different color, much like flowers in a garden. About the Host

Isa Arroyo

Isa Arroyo

Currently a sophomore studying Accounting with a minor in Neuroscience, Isa brings both curiosity and culture to FM89. Her passion for Latin music began at home on Saturday mornings when her family cleaned, danced, and played instruments together. As a first-generation Latina, she feels that music is one of the most universal ways to be seen and understood. If she isn’t introducing listeners of WONC to new Latin artists, Isa can be found mentoring first-gen students as a Premier Mentor or leading the Latinx Student Association as its president. She manages to juggle a lot by being involved in student leadership, creative media, and also staying true to her heritage. Whether it's hosting Flores y Fuego, planning events, or connecting students to campus life, Isa adds fun and purpose to whatever she does!
