Years at WONC: 1999-2003

Tim spent most of his time at WONC specializing in sports broadcasting. He hosted From the Upper Deck all four years, and he helped create a NASCAR show, Trackside, in 2001. Tim also called countless football, basketball, baseball, and softball games throughout his stint at WONC, and held positions in the WONC Sports Department from 2000 to 2003. Aside from his heavy involvement in sports broadcasting, Tim also co-hosted Mission Rock, a Christian rock show, for one year.

After graduating from NCC and moving on from WONC, Tim has been a professional sports broadcaster, calling nearly 1,500 baseball games. He’s worked as the play-by-play announcer the Traverse City Beach Bums, the Lake Erie Crushers, the Gary SouthShore RailCats, and 2022 marks his 10th season as the voice of the Schaumburg Boomers, where he’s won two Broadcaster of the Year awards.

Tim is also currently the Assistant Director of Athletics for Athletics Communications at Benedictine University, a position he’s held since 2010.
