About the Hosts
Hailie Balding
Hailie is a long-term K-pop fan hoping to work in the music journalism field one day. Since getting into K-pop in 2017, she’s kept up with lots of different groups between third and fifth gen, but TXT has been her ult group since their debut. When she’s not hosting Straight from the Seoul, she’s usually spending her free time watching dramas, or at a concert or cupsleeve event with her friends.
Karina Tapia
From a young age, Karina has been interested in the classic Spanish bands to the funky side of jazz and pop. On Straight From the Seoul, she and Hailie bring the freshest and hottest takes on the KPop industry. In her free time, Karina likes to go for hikes and walk in nature for long periods of time. Music is an essential escape and she aspires to share and create a safe place for others to share their music interests.
