Years at WONC: 2006-2010

Michelle spent a great deal of her time at WONC involved in sports broadcasting, both as a color analyst and halftime show host for NCC football and basketball games. When she wasn’t covering a game, she was heavily involved in the station’s news department, serving as the News Director for multiple years.

During her time at WONC, Michelle won a handful of awards, including the 2010 CBI Award for Best News Reporter. She also earned multiple internships with TV stations like FOX 32, WGN, and CNBC in London.

After graduation, Michelle’s TV career took off. She began as a reporter at Naperville Community Television in 2010, and moved to Cedar Rapids, IA two years later to take a reporter position with KWWL. In 2015, she moved into the role of Producer for KWWL, and in 2017, she moved to Indianapolis, IN to take on a producer position with WTHR. In 2020, Michelle returned to the Chicago area to work with WLS-TV as a news writer and producer, and the following year, she took on the role of Digital Newscast Producer with the station.
