Years at WONC: 2005-2008

Nick was a very active member of the WONC Sports Department, often hosting From the Upper Deck on Sunday nights, broadcasting high school and NCC sports, and hosting Cardinal Countdown, a half hour college football show with Evan Bredeson (‘09) before each NCC football game his junior and senior years. Nick was also heavily involved in WONC’s senior staff, holding the positions of Assistant Sports Director his junior year, and Sports Director and Station Manager his senior year.

While at WONC, Nick earned two internships with WSCR 670 The Score. After graduation, he turned his internship experience into a position as a part-time board operator and White Sox producer. Not long after, he was promoted to full-time executive producer of the afternoon drive shows, and a night and weekend host. He also filled in regularly on the afternoon show and worked Cubs postgame broadcasts for the 2016 and 2017 postseason runs.

After 15 years at WSCR, Nick left in 2020 to become the Communications Coordinator for Park Ridge School District 64. In 2022, he accepted a position as the Director of Communications at Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills Community Consolidated School District #181. He also manages the Fighting Irish Wire, part of the USA Today Sports college wire network, covering Notre Dame football.
