This week the Chicago Bears have their first big test of the season against the Atlanta Falcons. The Bears are coming off a win against the New York Giants, but just like Week 1 against the Detroit Lions, it wasn’t easy.
The Falcons are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Dallas Cowboys after blowing a 20-point lead, but this gives Atlanta every reason to take their anger out on the Bears.
Even though the Falcons are 0-2, they are a dangerous team, especially on offense. Among points per game they ranked fifth (32.0) and yard per game they are ranked fourth (443.0). Defensively, they struggle as the Falcons are 31st in yards allowed per game (476.5) and last in points allowed per game (39.0).
The Bears defense has a real test ahead of them, but so does their offense. We have seen the Bears offense with flashes of quality play, but they haven’t pulled it together for all four quarters.
It’s going to have to come down to the Bears defense locking down the Falcons high powered offense or the Bears offense trying to keep up with the Falcons offense.
Here are the predictions from the staff of WONC Sports for the Week 3 matchup between the Bears and the Falcons:
